A. CHUCKS: Self Centering 3-Jaw and 4-Jaw Chucks
 Chuck from Parksons
  • Type: Scroll operated chuck with 2 sets of jaws (Reverse and forward) is widely used in mass production.
  • Bodies: Chucks are made out of alloyed cast iron for maximum wear resistance. The bodies have hardness of 190 to 210 BHN.
  • Jaws: Made out of Case hardening steel and are suitably heat-treated. The gripping portions have hardness of 57 to 62 HRC. These are precisely ground from both sides for perfect fitting in the body.
  • Pinions: Case hardened steel and suitably heat-treated. These have hardness of 43 to 47 HRC.
  • Scroll: Made out of high strength steel and is suitably hardened to 38 to 45 HRC for maximum wear resistance. The threads of scroll are precisely ground which provide long service life to the chuck.
  • Operating key: of suitable strength is provided with the chuck

B. AUTO COPYING ATTACHMENT FOR LATHE

Auto Copying Attachment for Lathe from Parksons
Principle:
  • The constant pressure hydraulic copying unit is fixed on the rear side of the cross slide
  • It is suitable for two-dimensional copying
  • It combines the uni-directional control valve with longitudinal saddle motion
  • The stylus of tracing mechanism bears against the masterpiece when the unit is in neutral position
  • When the longitudinal motion of the saddle is engaged, the contour of the masterpiece deflects the stylus. This imparts motion on the copying unit along the direction of contour.
  • A hydraulic cylinder controller controls the motion by control valve (Servo valve), which activates the stylus.

Description:
  • It minimizes wear and tear on the lathe due to its lightweight
  • It can be fitted on any center / engine / precision lathe
  • The copying base guides are flat, hardened & ground
  • Toolpost is adjustable and tool holder can be quickly changed for internal copying and other jobs
  • The toolpost is provided with a dial indicator to provide greater precision
  • The hydraulic power pack is in a self-contained unit

C. MILLING HEADS FOR PLANOMILLER

Milling Heads for Planomiller from Parksons

MHR Series: General Purpose
  • It is the most popular an commonly used Milling Head
  • All geared rugged and well-proven milling heads.
  • Six-stepped spindle speeds, achieved through change gear pairs. This method reduces the weight and the price of the milling head.

MHCL Series: Multiple Spindle Speeds
  • These milling heads are ideally suited for frequent changeovers of spindle speeds.
  • 4 spindle speeds can be selected through a convenient lever changing mechanism.

Common for Both:
  • The drive mechanism is through helical bull and mating gears
  • 4 Taper Roller Bearings + 1 Cylindrical Bearing rigidly support spindle & bull gear
  • Low maintenance: Molybdenum sulphide grease (lubrication for life) for bearings
  • Automatic lubrication for gearbox
  • Back plate facilitates setting the spindle axis ±45°, to machine profiles like tapers and full utilization of the quill stroke

Accuracy:
  • 0.01mm for Outer diameter, Inner Diameter and Facing

Right angle attachment: In combination with cross feed and vertical feed, adds floor boring capabilities to your converted Plano miller! Jobs, which otherwise, should have been done in a floor borer; can be done in a converted plano miller.

  • Right angle attachment has a Circular T slot based flange, which has a graduated collar.
  • This enables you to set the spindle axis of the right angle attachment to any angle ±360°.
  • You can machine all the 4 sides of a rectangular job in the same setting
